Oce’s LightJet ® 500XL is the first fully digital photographic printer with output as wide as 76". Clients can now enjoy the unbeatable quality of digital photographic printing at very large sizes.
Prior to the addition of the 500XL, prints wider than 50" would be processed using old, darkroom/enlarger processes which did not measure up to today’s quality standards.
Today, the result is true continuous tone, digital photographic images. The LightJet ® 500XL utilizes internal drum architecture that holds the media stationary while imaging to ensure the best possible accuracy from edge to edge. A spinning mirror directs laser light to expose reflective and backlit photographic material. The prints are the ideal solution for visual communicators whom want to go wider and stay digital.
We have taken over more space to maximize plant efficiency and serve customers better. With the acquistion of unit #2 at 25 Sims Crescent, we have almost doubled our size from 25,000 square feet to 46,000 total.
The new space will allow more offices for sales staff, an increased pre-press department and lots more room for packaging, fulfillment and shipping. A brand new "clean room" is being setup for mounting and laminating.
